General Worker (Cleaning & Laundry) – Tembisa Old Age Home

Tembisa Old Age Home (NPO: 134-846) is seeking a dedicated General Worker with experience in cleaning and laundry services to join our team. This is an important role in ensuring that our elderly residents live in a safe, clean, and hygienic environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
Maintain cleanliness and organization across all areas of the facility.
Manage the cleaning, drying, ironing, folding, and distribution of resident laundry and facility linens.
Adhere to infection control standards and health & safety procedures.
Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric).
Previous experience in cleaning and laundry services.
Basic knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures.
Familiarity with safety protocols and handling of cleaning materials.
Physically fit and able to lift and carry laundry loads.
Willingness to perform all tasks related to cleaning and laundry departments.
Flexible and able to work additional hours when needed.
